Methodology
We rank by participation. An investor's score is the number of distinct AI funding rounds it joined from 2023 through 2026 year to date. Every backer in a round counts the same, whether it led, co-invested, or came in through debt or a grant. If a name was on the round, it gets credit for the round.
What counts as AI: only rounds raised by companies we classify as AI businesses, from AI-native products to the infrastructure and platforms AI runs on. Everything else is left out before any counting starts.
Each round is counted once per investor, matched on company and close date, so a large syndicate or a re-reported raise never inflates a tally.
Backers of every kind count here: venture funds, growth and crossover investors, corporate arms, banks, and public programs alike.
